(October 10th-Our first family picture) M and B were a day old...stupid pre-eclampsia and not allowing me to hold my babies on their birth-day. Thank you God though for these amazing blessings no matter how they started their journey here.
Pure joy
Well, right now I'm in the advocate role again for my little man cub. He sees the hematologist Thursday to go over lab results. I'm anxious about the appt., I'm thankful for having a best friend who is an NP and calm those nerves, I'm hopeful, I'm ready. Ready to hear whatever it is I have to do for my boy. Supplements? Not a big deal. More blood? Ugh, I'll deal. Ready to advocate for my little who can't express if his anemia makes him sleepy, sore, loss of appetite. All these things I'm reading make me over think everything. Does he take long naps because he's anemic? No, the girls did that. He didn't want his snack today and wouldn't eat his peas? Hello, he had a big breakfast and he's his Father's son and hates peas. I just need this appt. to be here so I can stop worrying. I am a strong advocate and a worrier. I think I scared a (male) friend of mine today when I burst in to tears talking about just scheduling Joshua's appt. Going to try and keep my emotions in check when wearing my advocate role Thursday.

Today I picked up a sleeping Joshua and held him for 30 min. feeling him breathe as he slept on my chest. Pure bliss. I love those moments. Memorizing every detail...how his top lip sticks out more than his bottom when puckered together after his paci falls out, how he tugs on his ted and flinches if it moves at all, how when he wakes up his eyes find mine and immediately he smiles and those sleepy eyes start to look less blurry and more focused. Moments like this make the hard-I have to be a tough mama advocate-moments worth it.
Going to try and enjoy the weekend and put the worrying aside for some family time. There will be an art show, Christmas lights, "snow", and a birthday party in our weekend of fun. Monday we get to hang out with friends we haven't seen in a couple weeks, Tuesday meeting a new babe, and Wednesday some Christmas shopping before the appt. Thursday. So, when I try and stay busy I make sure we're having fun while being busy :).
