Kiddo update

I can't believe in a couple weeks my kids will be 6 1/2 and 2 1/2! Time is flying. They light up my life and I'm so thankful God chose me to be their mom!

The girls are loving gymnastics. They still look like the newbies in the class, but they have great confidence, and when they don't do it just right they keep at it, which I love! They also love spanish club! They have weekly homework for it, and are eager to do it. Mondays are a very long day for them. Dropped off at 8:15, and I don't pick them up until 4! They are so proud of the spanish they have learned. They also are reading every chance they get. Something seems to have clicked recently, and they are reading so much! They have their first concert at school next week!! Just Kindergarten is performing, and I can't wait to see them on stage!! The school year is almost over! I'm excited to have them home for the summer, but not at all prepared to almost have 1st graders! The arguing with one another is getting better. They are working on good behavior to earn a game for their leap's. So, we'll see if they can keep it up.

They got their 2nd report cards of the year today, and they don't do letter grades in K, only PE, Art, and Music do E/S/or U's, and the girls earned E's for excellent. The other areas they earned the highest scores, and show complete readiness for 1st grade! I am so proud of them. It was funny though, because, Brianna's comments said that she is a joy in the class, but when she plans something and it doesn't turn out the way she hopes she gets really upset. Hmmm...wonder who she gets that from?!?!? Heehee. Mikayla had good comments as well, except for knowing at times when it's appropriate to play. Which was totally Nelson in elementary school. It's really funny to me because usually Mikayla's personality is just like mine, and Brianna's is just like Nelson's. I love seeing both of us in them so much. It's crazy how personality traits are also inherited!

Joshua is either the sweetest boy you have ever seen, or the naughtiest, he doesn't have much of a gray area! He's been very two lately, and seeing what he can get away with. He used to sit in time out, and now it's a struggle to keep him there. He's talking more, and lately I've been amazed with him. He can count to 10 (usually omitting 4 though), and knows most of his colors, and most of his shapes! The other day I randomly pointed at a triangle, and almost fell out of my chair when he said triangle! I had no idea he knew that. He loves animals, copying his sisters, and Mickey is still his favorite.

The many faces of my boy:
