LOVE

I was trying to think of what to title this post...and love sums it up perfectly. Valentine's week is a busy one in our house. This weekend Nelson took the girls to their first Father/Daughter dance. It was amazing! Their joy and stories once they got home, and how cute they were getting ready and heading to the dance was so special. We also went to two birthday parties this weekend. Sunday was spent going to church, cleaning the house, and then a date night for Nelson and I. We got to go out to dinner at Maggiano's and then saw the movie Just Go With It. It was a really nice night out.

Valentine's Day we had a playdate and with 3 of our close friends and their kids coming over we had a full house. Eleven kids playing, decorating cookies, giving out Valentine's....pure bliss!

Today is Nelson's birthday, and it feels like such a momentous birthday. 10 years ago I celebrated his birthday with him for the first time. It was the first time he flirted with me. It was my sophomore year of college, and Sara and I went over to Nelson's birthday party--a bunch of his friends were over playing volleyball. I joined in, and was terrible. He made me feel like a rockstar. Looking around the dinner table tonight as we enjoyed dinner out with Nelson's family and my family I couldn't help but notice how different this birthday is compared to 10 years ago. We are so blessed to have three healthy children and a tight knit family who get together for these special occasions.
we surprised Nelson at work with a cookie cake the girls and I baked for him!
The girls have absolutely loved these past couple days, and I'm so proud to be their Mom! Joshua is now walking 50% of the time in the past couple of days. It's so exciting to see him grow, his vocabulary I feel has doubled the past couple weeks too. Time is going by too fast!
Many more exciting things coming up this month!
