We have had a good summer. Went by super fast. Joshua learned to swim. Mikayla and Brianna enjoyed time with friends and family. We had beach days, playdates, day trip to Downtown Disney to see cousins, trip to NC, Nelson and I celebrated 8 years of marriage. I turned 30 and Nelson and I got to get away for the weekend with close friends. The girls got to have lots of one-on-one time which is difficult to make time for during the school year (but, we are going to try and make sure it does happen). Joshua's sense of humor really came out this summer. He's such a ham!! Mikayla got her hair cut short (which her new teacher said she absolutely loves that their hair is different!) Brianna's patience with working on activities has gotten better. Before she'd just do it to finish it, and not work on something to take time on it to make sure she's proud of it...and now she's taking more time and pride in her work. The kids played a lot together which I absolutely loved to see. Joshua now wants to do EVERYTHING they do, and eat everything they eat, and he walks around like he's 5 too! It's been fun seeing this transformation. I feel like the summer has flown by. I hope things slow a bit. I want to fully enjoy their first year of elementary school. I am so proud to be their mom. My next entry will be a letter to my girls about heading to kindergarten. Oh, the places they'll go!
