Mikayla had been acting out a lot, and when I sat her down and asked her what was wrong, she told me she wanted alone time with me. Ouch and Awe. It's wonderful knowing how important time with Mommy is, but hard that even though I'm home with her every day all day that my time being split between all 3 of my children and my husband is hard on her at times. So, we planned our date night on Monday night, and every.thing. must ALWAYS be equal so Brianna's date night was of course on Tuesday night. Well, my little romantics wanted to see the sunset, and Mikayla wanted to walk on the beach and Brianna wanted to go to the park. Alas, the rain was bad both nights...so we had to change our plans. Mikayla and I headed to the mall. I let her choose anything in Claires (she chose a Tangled purse with lipgloss inside). Then, we went in a photo booth and had fun taking pictures. My favorite part of our date was when she asked if we could sit in chairs by the ice skaters and "chit chat". On our way home we stopped for ice cream. It was a perfect night with my big girl.
The next day, Brianna and I had a perfect night. It kind of felt like deja vu, but my Bri bri is very different from Mikayla so she kept me on my toes. We started off with ice cream instead of hitting the mall first(she had to change it up from her sister's date). Then, we went to the mall and she picked out her treasure from Claires (a little doll who happened to be named Beautiful Brianna). Then, did the pictures and walked around. She wanted to try clothes on and did a little fashion show! She kept trying to stay out later than Mikayla did and do different things than her sister did!
It was so interesting to watch how different they were in the same setting. Mikayla was so clingy, and wanting to hold hands every second and hung on my every word. Brianna was skipping ahead of me, and excited to show off things to me and have my undivided attention. They both really needed this one-on-one time, and I'm going to try and have it not be such a rare occasion.
We really enjoyed Spring Break~playdate with one of my best friends and her son and some of their friends, beach playdate, lunch date at an indoor playground, music with mar class, rainy day in with tea parties, lots of Mickey, sponge docks, girls went to a sleepover, Nels and the baby and I enjoyed a night out, lots of fun family time!
Tomorrow I register the girls for Kindergarten...EEK!
